Each week brings new themes, live DJs, and engaging science experiences.

Meet Claude, the famous albino alligator, and discover 60,000+ fascinating animals, from exotic fish to playful penguins. Stroll through a lush four-story rainforest teeming with life, or dive into the wonders of marine science. 

With dynamic themes, science talks, and interactive experiences, NightLife offers a unique San Francisco nightlife experience blending education with entertainment.

You must be 21 years or older with valid, physical photo ID to attend NightLife.

Rainforest and gem exhibitions will be open, however will have reduced hours. Last entry into the rainforest dome is at 7:30 PM

The themes & shows included in Nighlife ticket change on weekly basis.

You’re welcome to roam around with your drink everywhere except the planetarium, rainforest, and swamp, but can only eat in the Academy Café or outdoors.

Planetarium passes are required for planetarium shows during NightLife. Reserve your planetarium show passes (additional $5) in advance at tickets.calacademy.org/nlpl/ or by scanning the QR code in the lobby as soon as you arrive. Please note that reservations are first-come, first-served
